Beauty Bar offers Bang Camaro

They call it "anthem rock," and it sounds like King Kong whacking at the world's largest cowbell.

Hot and bothered Boston tongue-waggers Bang Camaro coined the term, which is posited on randy riffing, enough guitar soloing to make Yngwie Malmsteen's bangs shrivel and gang vocal choruses very reminiscent of vintage Def Leppard.

On their MySpace page, the band lists no less than 13 lead vocalists among its ranks, and they add a sweeping, choral feel to the band's hooky hard rock. Lay some rubber of your own on your way to catch these dudes at 10 p.m. Thursday at the Beauty Bar, 517 Fremont St. Call 598-1965.
