CURRIE -- A 59-year-old Nevada man has been jailed in Elko on an unrelated charge while investigators probe the slaying of a man in a camper trailer in the Elko County hamlet of Currie.
Sheriff's detective Cpl. James Carpenter told the Elko Daily Free Press that deputies called who were called Sunday to a report of a domestic disturbance found a 24-year-old man shot dead at a trailer owned by Glen Arthur Mead of Ely.
Mead was booked Monday into the Elko County Jail on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant issued by an Ely justice of the peace.
Carpenter said the results of the investigation will be turned over to the Elko County district attorney's office for possible prosecution.
