No injuries, damage after twister

RENO -- A tornado, hail and heavy rain pummeled rural Nevada but caused no injuries or major damage.

The National Weather Service says a twister was reported at 3:34 p.m. Monday just north of Fort Churchill State Park. It traveled across Lahontan Reservoir and near Fallon before dissipating by 4:45 p.m. Weather experts say there might have been more than one tornado.

Lyon County sheriff's officials say quarter-size hail was 3 to 4 inches deep in some areas at Lahontan and Silver Springs.
