North Las Vegas man dies in motorcycle, car crash

A man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle collided with a 2006 Honda Accord, North Las Vegas police said.

The Clark County coroner's office identified the man as Jerry Wilde, 40, from North Las Vegas.

The accident occurred about 8 a.m. at Aliante Parkway and Grasswern Drive, north of West Centennial Parkway. Police said the 2006 Suzuki Katana was traveling south on Aliante when the car pulled into the intersection from Grasswern, failing to yield to the motorcycle, police said.

Wilde was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Honda, a 63-year-old man, was not identified. Police said the man, who was not arrested at the scene, will be charged with misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter.
