North Las Vegas police seek 3 missing brothers who were in foster care

UPDATE: Boys have been found and are safe.

North Las Vegas police are looking for three brothers in foster care who went missing Sunday.

The boys’ 53-year-old foster mother told police the boys, Daniel Valerio-Contreras, 15, Armando Guajardo-Valerio, 12, and Emilio Valerio-Contreras, 8, were gone when she awoke the morning of Dec. 29.

The brothers took toys, scooters and clothing with them from the home in the 3900 block of Buteo Lane, near Aviary Way and Deer Springs Way, police said.

According to police, Daniel is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 115 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and gauges in his ears. Armando is about 5 feet tall and 100 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and braces. Emilio is about 4 feet tall and 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Daniel has a history of running away, police said.
