Plane crashes into house, woman inside escapes

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — A small plane crashed into the side of a house in Oregon on Monday, but the woman inside was able to escape.

The Yamhill County News-Register reports (http://is.gd/xs1Qil) that the crash occurred Monday afternoon in McMinnville, southwest of Portland. The first law enforcement officers on scene said the plane hit the garage and ended up inside the home.

The pilot’s condition has not been released by authorities.

The newspaper reports the woman inside the home escaped along with her pets. She said she was sitting about 3 feet away from the impact.

McMinnville is located in Oregon’s wine country, about 40 miles from Portland.
