Police: Driver faces charges after vehicles, pedestrians hit at bus stop

A 41-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs after a pickup plowed into a bus stop, injuring several people.

Daniel J. Melin is also facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failing to surrender a license to a police officer, failing to use due care and failing to render aid in an accident. He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail.

Las Vegas police said Melin drove a truck Monday afternoon that collided with several vehicles before hitting pedestrians at a bus stop on Rancho Boulevard at Lake Mead Boulevard.
