Police: Man in custody after wife found dead

A Las Vegas man was taken into police custody on Friday after walking into a police command center and admitting he killed his wife, according to Las Vegas police.

Richard Magdayo Dahan, 40, was booked into Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the death of his wife of two years. Police say Dahan walked into the Las Vegas Police Northwest Area Command about 3 p.m. Friday and turned himself into a counter employee.

Police later found the body of a woman with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds at an apartment in the 6500 block of Vegas Drive.

The couple had no known history of domestic violence and neither Dahan nor his wife has a local criminal record. There was no record of calls to the residence, police said.
