Police seek public help in locating accused child pornographer

A photographer facing child pornography and lewdness charges who skipped his September hearing is still on the run, according to Las Vegas police.

William Thompson, 52, was arrested last fall after police said he took pictures of and recorded a juvenile in sexually explicit situations. He ran Storybook Studios located in the 3300 block of West Craig Road near Simmons Street, police said.

Thomas was charged with three counts lewdness with a minor and seven counts of using a minor to produce pornography. Thompson was on house arrest and failed to appear for a Sept. 11 justice court hearing, police said.

Police said Thompson has also been linked to other cases, including outside the continental U.S. The investigation is under review for possible federal prosecution, police said.

Anyone with information on Thompson should contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 702-668-7001, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
