Police suspect murder-suicide in pair’s deaths in Lake Havasu

Two people found dead Monday afternoon by police in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., might have died in a murder-suicide.

Police discovered the bodies Monday afternoon while performing a welfare check at the request of a neighbor.

Lt. Richie Sloma identified the dead as Donald Larson, 43, and his mother, Audrey Larson, 84. They were found in the home they shared in the 3500 block of Bali Drive. Sloma said police think Larson shot his mother and two pet dogs before he killed himself sometime over the weekend.

Sloma said two shotguns used in the shootings were retrieved from the home. He said no motive has been established.
