Second suspect held in teen’s shooting death

North Las Vegas police on Tuesday arrested a second suspect in last month’s shooting death of 16-year-old Donald Troutman.

Joshua Jones, 18, was booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon and four counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail.

Solomon White, 19, also has been arrested in the May 26 slaying.

Troutman was shot about 6:35 p.m. in the 5100 block of Cross Ranch Street, near Fifth Street and Washburn Road.

The teen’s grandmother said he was killed after a fight with a member of the HTO gang. She said he was ambushed while walking home . North Las Vegas police have not confirmed those details.
