Shooting victim dies after police take him to hospital
A 28-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times Tuesday night in a parking lot on Marion Street near Lake Mead Boulevard, Las Vegas police said.
Police said Lavelle Humes was walking with several people about 10:50 p.m. on the 1700 block of Marion when he got into a fight with the people he was with. One of the men shot Humes and then ran, police said.
Police found Humes in the parking lot and took him to a local hospital, where he died.
