Solstice resort in Mesquite gets construction loan

Solstice Motorcoach Resort and Country Club in Mesquite has received a $7 million construction loan from Bank of America for the final phase of the travel resort, Las Vegas developer and project partner Mike Kennedy said.

Construction started in September and should be complete by the end of summer, Kennedy said. The resort will have 211 terraced recreational vehicle lots ranging from 2,600 square feet to 11,000 square feet, along with amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, nine-hole putting course and clubhouse.

Kennedy said Solstice Motorcoach Resort will become a premier destination for RV owners coming to Southern Nevada and Utah. No membership is required and spaces can be rented by the day, week or month.

The lots have full hookups for water, sewer, 50-amp electricity, telephone and wireless Internet service.

The resort is within driving distance of Lake Mead, Snow Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. Mesquite has six golf courses, including Wolf Creek, ranked as one of the top 25 courses in the nation by Golf Digest.
