Glenn Scruggs, the 44-year-old man wanted on charges of robbing and beating a 69-year-old woman in her home, was arrested Saturday, Las Vegas police said.
Police Lt. Clint Nichols said Scruggs was arrested outside a residence while taking out the trash.
The Las Vegas man is at the Clark County Detention Center on charges of robbery, battery with intent to commit robbery, battery with substantial bodily harm and robbery of a victim over 60 years of age. He is being held on $16,000 bail.
Police said Scruggs beat and robbed the 69-year-old woman and her daughter on Oct. 20 in their home, near Fremont and 11th streets.
The daughter said she knew Scruggs because he frequented the downtown area. He followed her home from a grocery store, asked to use the phone and became aggressive when the women refused to give him money.
Scruggs' criminal history in Las Vegas is extensive and includes an arson conviction in 1985, police said.
