Take this bus if you’re off wagon
In a city where partying has gone mobile, from minibuses equipped with stripper poles to Jacuzzi limos, now comes a curbside service to treat those massive hangovers.
According to a new Las Vegas website, HangoverHeaven.com, a fleet of tour buses is already rolling, with stops at major casinos.
If you're down for the count, they'll send someone to your room with an IV, for the introductory price of $150. Within an hour, you'll be good to go.
The website said the designated pickup areas are at the Hard Rock Hotel, Paris, Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan.
The medications and equipment are FDA approved, according to the website.
A disclaimer encourages drinking in moderation. The website also states:
"Our buses can work magic, but they cannot bring you back from the dead."
EASTER IRONY
There was no shortage of irony when two-time Oscar winner Mel Gibson dined Friday at Piero's Italian Cuisine.
As he walked by a table filled with Passover celebrants, he unknowingly was seated in a booth often favored by comedy legend Jerry Lewis.
Six years ago, Lewis told a group of Las Vegas reporters during an MDA telethon media gathering that he was planning to do a movie with Gibson.
"I'm going to direct it, and I'm calling it 'Skinheads,' and we're going to open in Haifa and then go on to Berlin and Jerusalem and Tel Aviv," said Lewis, with tongue in cheek.
Weeks earlier, Gibson created an international stir when he directed an anti-Semitic tirade at a U.S. deputy after being picked up on suspicion of drunken driving.
Gibson directed and produced the blockbuster, "The Passion of the Christ," about the last hours in the life of Jesus.
THE SCENE AND HEARD
The entertainment community is mourning the loss of professional singer Michaelina Bellamy, who died Saturday. Bellamy performed with Engelbert Humperdinck and starred as center vocalist in "Les Folies Bergere" at the Tropicana. She was 59. Her world was turned upside down in 2007 when she was attacked by the Rev. George Chaanine at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, where she worked.

Las Vegan Matthew Gray Gubler, star of television hit "Criminal Minds," leaving the French bakery Patisserie Manon, on West Charleston Boulevard, with his family on Saturday. They left with a chocolate Easter cake topped with a white chocolate bunny. He is the son of longtime Las Vegas GOP activist Marilyn Gubler. He plays FBI profiler Dr. Spencer Reid and also has been directing episodes of the CBS show.
