Teen dies in Arizona car accident
KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Police said a teenager was dead at the scene of a single vehicle traffic accident about 3 a.m. Saturday in Kingman. Police Lt. Dave Coffin identified the victim as Juan Jose Sanchez, 17.
Coffin said Sanchez was speeding northbound in the 3700 block of Stockton Hill Road when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving.
Coffin said Sanchez suffered massive head trauma when the vehicle rolled 1½ times, coming to a rest wheels-up.
Three other male teenagers from Kingman were transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, though Coffin said they apparently were not life-threatening.
He said the teenagers left a residence just before the wreck and that there were numerous indicators that alcohol was involved.
