Three arrested after stabbing in parking lot at Tropicana, Jones

One person was stabbed and three suspects were arrested Monday morning after an incident in a parking lot on the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

Police arrived on the scene about 11:30 a.m., and quickly had two suspects in custody. The third suspect ran from the scene and was detained by a maintenance worker in a nearby condominium complex, she said.

The victim was sent to the trauma unit at University Medical Center with what appeared to be a stab wound in the leg, she said.

Detectives are investigating the stabbing, according to Las Vegas police spokesman Laura Meltzer. Initial reports suggest the victim was stabbed during a robbery.
