UNLV-UC Riverside: Rebels cruise to 85-41 victory; women win early game, 76-42

Chace Stanback scored 17 points to lead UNLV to an 85-41 victory over UC Riverside in the season opener for both teams at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Rebels led by 23 at halftime and blew the game open with a 21-5 run over the first nine minutes of the second half. Oscar Bellfield’s 3-pointer put UNLV up 56-22 with 14:38 remaining.
Anthony Marshall had 16 points and Bellfield finished with 15 for the Rebels.
The UNLV women’s team opened the doubleheader with a 76-42 victory over Southern Utah.
HALFTIME POST
Chace Stanback scored 11 points and Oscar Bellfield and Anthony Marshall each had 10 to lift UNLV to a 42-19 halftime lead over UC Riverside in the season opener for both teams at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Marshall made a 3-pointer early and Bellfield's 3 put the Rebels ahead 22-12 with 11:22 remaining. UNLV's defense held the Highlanders to 8-for-39 shooting from the field.
