USAA Bank supports expansion of College of Southern Nevada’s Veterans Educational Center

College of Southern Nevada President Michael Richards welcomed USAA Bank President and CEO Larry Seedig at the Charleston campus Veterans Educational Center on Jan. 18. USAA Bank has joined CSN's efforts to provide superior service to veteran students.

"We are pleased to support CSN's efforts to provide our returning veterans with a path to success as they transition to civilian life after serving our country," Seedig said.

The College of Southern Nevada is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans. This summer, the college signed on to become a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Principles of Excellence school, subscribing to the highest standard of service to CSN's veteran students. The CSN Foundation is working with the college to secure funds to expand access to those services at the Cheyenne and Henderson campuses.

"Our enrollment of veteran students has been increasing every year," said Dr. Santos Martinez, CSN vice president of student affairs. "As more veterans return to civilian life in Southern Nevada, CSN is here for them and we hope to expand our services to ease their transition and enhance their academic and professional opportunities."
