Woman accused in fatal store robbery
Angel McClelland, who is accused of helping a man rob and shoot a convenience store clerk in July 11, was in a Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday.
Authorities accuse McClelland of helping Deonte Marshall rob and shoot a Green Valley Grocery clerk on July 11. The clerk who was wounded during the robbery, Steve Inman, 60, spent several months in a coma before dying in November.
McClelland, 20, was taken into custody in California and extradited to Las Vegas. She was indicted on murder and robbery charges earlier this month.
Authorities said Inman had complied with the robbers demands. He had previously retired and taken the job at the convenience store to earn money for his wife's cancer treatments. She died about two weeks before Inman passed away.
Marshall has pleaded not guilty to six felony charges related to the shooting and robbery. He is at Lakes Crossing, the state's mental hospital for criminal defendants.
