Woman in critical condition after being struck by car

A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in west Las Vegas Monday night.

She was crossing outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle traveling south on Decatur Boulevard near Sahara Avenue about 6:45 p.m., Las Vegas police said.

She was transported to University Medical Center where police said her condition took a turn for the worse, describing her condition as “extremely critical.”

The Metropolitan Police Department’s fatal detail is investigating the crash.
