Woman pedestrian hit, killed by car in Las Vegas

A 57-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car in east Las Vegas late Friday night.

A 1993 Cadillac was traveling north on Pecos Road near Lake Mead Boulevard in the right lane at 11 p.m. as a pedestrian tried to cross Pecos outside a marked crosswalk, according to Las Vegas police.

The pedestrian entered the right travel lane and was struck by the Cadillac, police said.

The woman, who died at the scene, was not immediately identified.
