Woman shot, killed outside store

A 46-year-old woman was shot and killed during a gunbattle between a group of men outside a North Las Vegas grocery store Friday night.

The woman is believed to have been an innocent bystander during the 8:47 p.m. shooting outside the Sunny Market at 600 W. Lake Mead Blvd., near Losee Road, North Las Vegas police said.

Sgt. Tim Bedwell said a group of men became involved in an altercation in the store that moved outside and ended in gunfire. The woman, whose name was not released, died at the scene, Bedwell said.

Police have not yet released any information regarding the suspects.
