LETTER: Nevada school choice plan too generous to parents

Why can’t we limit the Education Savings Accounts to 85 percent or 90 percent of the average cost per pupil? I don’t think it is too much to ask that those parents requesting to set up these accounts bear some of the expense. Otherwise, they can remain in the public school system.

It would also leave the remaining 10 percent or 15 percent to be used to increase funding for the public-school kids.
