Republicans have shown they can be united

Are memories this short or just very selective? Galen L. Richter’s recent letter on Obamacare prompts this question.

When Barack Obama was elected president, Mitch McConnell was asked what the Republican plans were for the next four years. His replied something to the effect of, “We only have one thing to do for the next four years. That is to ensure that Obama is a one-term president.”

Well, they failed at that. Now they have failed to come up with a better health care plan for Americans. It also seems that their tax cut plan for people making more than $730,000 per year is doomed to fail.

Yes, the Republicans are able to stand united. As long as they can say, “No.”
