Smith’s new credit card policy will cost it customers

So Smith’s plans to stop accepting Visa cards because of the fees that banks charge (Saturday Review-Journal). I understand these fees affect their “bottom line”, but I’m wondering just how much their bottom line will be affected when shoppers take their business elsewhere.

Some of us use only Visa cards. So bye-bye, Smith’s. It was nice while it lasted.
