Obama shows a dangerous level of ignorance

To the editor:

In Friday's Review-Journal, we read an interesting piece about President Obama by Nancy Benac of The Associated Press. She writes about Mr. Obama's reaction to the Jihadi terrorist attacks on 9/11, when he wrote about "the more difficult job of understanding the sources of such madness." He also wrote of "embittered children around the world, of the seeds of discontent sown in poverty, ignorance and despair."

Not so. The terrorists were grown children of billionaire families, well-traveled all over the world, educated at prestigious universities in Germany, England and the United States.

It is clear from the above that Mr. Obama's totally irresponsible and ignorant reaction stemmed from a knee-jerk reaction of a far-left revolutionary.

His understanding of our Islamo-fascist terrorist enemies has not improved since -- he still wants to converse with them and help them with donations of books to their village madrassas.

It is hard for me to breathe when confronted with such levels of total and very dangerous ignorance.

Bodes ill

To the editor:

There are many problems facing us at this time. However, the economy and health care are not the biggest problems. Civility and respect are. They seem to be nonexistent, especially among those who lead -- those who should know better.

If there is no civility and respect at the top, that filters down and nothing seems beyond the bounds of good taste.

It saddens me to see what is happening, and it bodes ill for our great country.

No fan of Ann

To the editor:

Columnist Ann Coulter is vile (Friday Review-Journal). Can you not find someone honest, thoughtful, and intelligent to represent conservative views? I know there are some out there.
