Pac-12 men’s tournament sells out MGM Grand Garden

The Pac-12 Conference announced Monday that this week’s men’s basketball tournament is sold out for the first time in league history.

The event, which begins Wednesday, is played at the MGM Grand Garden, which has 13,000 seats for basketball. Oregon and Utah will be the top two seeds.

The top four seeds — in order, Oregon, Utah, Cal and Arizona — will have a bye into the the quarterfinals with Oregon starting action that day at 12:10 p.m. Utah gets the first night game Thursday, playing at 6:15 p.m.

The tournament’s first game will be at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday with No. 8 Washington and No. 9 Stanford meeting for the right to face Oregon the next day.

The championship game is set for 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Friday’s semifinals

Game 9: Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner, 6:15 p.m. PT (P12N).
