Class 4A Boys
1. Bishop Gorman (15-3, Last week 1) — The Gaels made a statement by beating nationally ranked Sierra Canyon (California) on Monday and can make another when they play Findlay Prep on Saturday.
2. Clark (15-3, LW 2) — The Chargers have won their past four games by a combined 161 points.
3. Canyon Springs (13-1, LW 3) — The Pioneers just escaped Eldorado at home last week.
4. Foothill (13-5, LW 6) — The Falcons had their first big league test Wednesday against Liberty.
5. Coronado (9-7, LW 4) — The Cougars play Clark on Saturday at South Point in a big crosstown matchup.
Class 3A Boys
1. Cheyenne (8-7, LW 1) — After their first league title since 2003 last season, the Desert Shields are poised to go back to back.
2. Desert Pines (9-8, LW 2) — The Jaguars’ record is not indicative of their talent, and they could go on a run during league play.
3. Mojave (11-5, LW 4) — The Rattlers have missed the playoffs the past two seasons but could crash the dance this season.
4. Chaparral (9-6, LW 3) — Jonathan Tendale leads the Sunrise League with almost 20 points per game.
5. Boulder City (14-5, LW 5) — The Eagles have Thursday’s game against Chaparral circled on the calendar.
Class 4A Girls
1. Centennial (17-3, Last week 1) — No movement in the 4A rankings, and the Bulldogs stay on top.
2. Spring Valley (19-2, LW 2) — The Grizzlies solidified their spot atop the Southwest League standings with a 64-50 win at Desert Oasis on Tuesday.
3. Liberty (18-1, LW 3) — Rae Burrell’s homecoming was Wednesday when the Patriots visited Foothill.
4. Desert Oasis (15-3, LW 4) — The Diamondbacks play Coronado in the Big City Showdown at South Point on Saturday.
5. Bishop Gorman (6-12, LW 5) — The Gaels meet Liberty in the Big City Showdown this weekend.
Class 3A Girls
1. Moapa Valley (17-3, LW 1) — The path to the Sunrise League title runs through Overton.
2. Pahrump Valley (11-3, LW 2) — The Trojans take on previously ranked Cheyenne on Friday in Pahrump.
3. Virgin Valley (9-9, LW 5) — The Bulldogs have shot up the rankings with a 5-1 start in league play.
4. Boulder City (9-8, LW 4) — The Eagles rebounded from a tough loss to Moapa Valley to knock off Del Sol on Tuesday.
5. Mojave (7-3, LW unranked) — The Rattlers jump into the rankings after two league wins last week.
