Coming Tuesday: RJ begins 6-part series on college recruiting

The recruiting of high school athletes by colleges has become a complicated business. NCAA rules, social media and club teams are among the factors that have complicated the process for student-athletes.

Beginning Tuesday, the Review-Journal examines the recruiting process in a six-part series that reports on many aspects, from getting a college’s attention to visits, from letters of intent to life in college.

The series will include:

■ Tuesday: The changing game.

■ Wednesday: The athletes.

■ Thursday: The colleges.

■ Friday: Outside pressures.

■ Saturday: The parents’ game.

■ Aug. 28: War of recruiting.
