Divided allegiance? Nevada likes Yankees, Blackhawks

Nevada may be a haven for New York Yankees fans, but when it comes to hockey Nevadans’ loyalty moves west … to Chicago.

Facebook has released another fandom map this time showing which NHL team each state and province loves based on where the specific teams fandom on Facebook lies, according to Sporting News.

And, Nevada loves the Chicago Blackhawks.

Allegiances in some states weren’t a surprise. For instance, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska — and Colorado, of course — are fans of the Colorado Avalanche.

But then there are Nevada and New Mexico. They favor the Blackhawks.

And Washington state pulls for the Detroit Red Wings.

And the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks are left out completely, with California’s choice going to the San Jose Sharks.
