Ex-Rebel Petrimoulx charged with forgery

Since leaving UNLV about 14 months ago, former guard Jason Petrimoulx has made stops at Georgetown College in Kentucky and, most recently, the Clark County Detention Center.

Petrimoulx, 22, was in custody Wednesday and facing one count of forgery, which is a felony.

A 2003 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School, Petrimoulx was a starter for the Rebels during the 2005-06 season. He was forced to leave the team on June 12, 2006, because of academic issues.

His arrest stemmed from his employment as a Domino's Pizza delivery driver.

According to an incident report taken Friday by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a Domino's customer ordered a pizza, which Petrimoulx delivered at 2 p.m. Thursday. He made an imprint of the customer's debit card.

The customer later discovered the card was frozen because of suspected fraud and contacted police.

Petrimoulx had a 72-hour probable cause hearing Wednesday in Justice Court. His bail was set at $3,000, and he has another court date scheduled for Oct. 2.

Petrimoulx, a criminal justice major at UNLV, spent two years at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah, before playing for the Rebels.

He averaged 10.1 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds as a junior. He played in 27 games, starting 25, before suffering a season-ending foot injury in a game at New Mexico on March 1, 2006.

Petrimoulx left UNLV and played briefly last season for Georgetown College, an NAIA school. He started only two regular-season games.

Rebels coach Lon Kruger said he was unaware of Petrimoulx's arrest.
