Fowler officially commits to Shriners Open

After contemplating playing last week, Rickie Fowler officially committed Tuesday for next month's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf tournament at TPC Summerlin.
Fowler finished fourth in the FedEx Cup standings and is No. 5 in the world golf rankings. He has made $5,773,430 this year and won two tournaments — The Players Championship and Deutsche Bank.
An eight-year veteran of the PGA Tour, Fowler last played in the Shriners Open in 2010, finishing tied for 22nd place. In 2009, he tied for seventh at TPC Summerlin.
