Minor league GM to get prostate exam during game — for a price
July 21, 2014 - 11:35 am
The general manager of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Single-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, has made an interesting offer.
If local 10-year-old Fallon Emery, who has brain cancer, can get 10,000 likes on Facebook by Thursday night’s game, GM Andy Milovich will have a prostate exam while singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh-inning stretch.
Thursday’s game was already devoted to spreading prostate cancer awareness, so when a reporter asked Milovich if he’d be willing to get an exam during the game, he just needed to find a way to help someone out, according to ESPN.
