At the UFC 205 news conference in New York City, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor caused some chaos when he arrived late. He snatched away UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez’s belt and the two engaged in a skirmish mediated by UFC president Dana White.

The UFC’s contract with ESPN expires Dec. 31 — the final ESPN card was Saturday — marking the end of the MMA company’s pay-per-view era. The UFC will move to Paramount+ in January.
