UFC announces first premium event on Paramount+, change in start times

After a 21-year-old fighter died from complications related to cutting weight for ONE Championship 35, the MMA promotion revamped their policies to more closely monitor how their fighters make weight. 
 
The organization's welterweight title holder, Ben Askren, talked about how those changes could serve as a blueprint for athletic commissions that want to adopt similar guidelines.

The UFC’s contract with ESPN expires Dec. 31 — the final ESPN card was Saturday — marking the end of the MMA company’s pay-per-view era. The UFC will move to Paramount+ in January.
