Nebraska’s late surge too much for TCU

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Ryan Anderson scored seven consecutive points to lead a late surge that sealed Nebraska's 90-77 victory over Texas Christian on Saturday.
Nebraska (2-1) led 70-69 when Anderson hit a wide-open 3-pointer from the top of the circle with 4:04 left. Forty seconds later, two Anderson free throws put Nebraska up 75-69.
TCU (2-2) got a basket from Ronnie Moss with 2:38 left. But Anderson immediately countered with a short jumper that made the score 77-71.
Nebraska hit 11 of its 12 free throws in the final 2:13 to seal the win.
• Wyoming 87, Boise State 61 -- At Laramie, Wyo., Djibril Thiam scored 19 points as the Cowboys ran past the Broncos (2-2). Wyoming (2-1) used an aggressive full-court press to force 23 turnovers that resulted in 31 points.
• Utah 88, Southern 48 -- At Salt Lake City, Marshall Henderson scored 13 and Jordan Cyphers 12 as the Utes (2-1) routed the Jaguars (0-3).
• New Mexico 81, Louisiana Tech 52 -- At Albuquerque, N.M., junior college transfer Darington Hobson scored 30 points to lead the Lobos (4-0) over the Bulldogs (2-1).
• Northern Colorado 70, Air Force 46 -- At Air Force Academy, Colo., Devon Beitzel scored 26 points to lead the Bears (5-0) to a rout of the Falcons (2-1).
