RiverCats hold on for 4-2 PCL victory over 51s

Kevin Frandsen drove in three runs to help Sacramento beat the 51s 4-2 on Thursday in a Pacific Coast League game in Sacramento, Calif.
Frandsen hit a three-run double in the second inning to extend the lead to 4-0 as the RiverCats won for the second consecutive night.
Nik Turley allowed one run on three hits in seven innings and struck out eight for Sacramento (48-58).
Dan Rohlfing led off the third with a home run for the 51s. Darrell Ceciliani scored on a single by T.J. Rivera with two outs in the eighth to cut the deficit to 4-2.
Matt Reynolds doubled to put the tying run on second for Las Vegas (59-47), but Erik Cordier entered the game and struck out Brooks Conrad to end the threat.
Cordier pitched the ninth to record his ninth save of the season.
The teams end the series at 7:05 p.m. today before the 51s return home for a four-game series against Tacoma beginning Saturday.
