Salt Lake Bees pick up win over 51s at Cashman, 7-5

■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, the 51s (22-25) put the tying runs on base in the ninth inning before Reese Havens grounded into a game-ending double play. … Brad Hawpe hit a two-run homer in the second for the Bees (24-26) and added a tiebreaking RBI single in the fifth, when Salt Lake scored three runs to take a 6-5 lead. … Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Collin Cowgill belted back-to-back homers in the fourth to give Las Vegas a 5-3 lead. … Matt Long homered in the third and John Hester homered in the ninth for Salt Lake, which tied it in the fifth on an RBI double by Trent Oeltjen and a sacrifice fly by Luis Jimenez.
