UNLV point guard Daquan Cook suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will redshirt this season, coach Dave Rice said.
Cook, who was considering redshirting this year before the injury, is a junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning in 2015-16. He has appeared in 53 games for the Rebels, including 28 last season.
“We feel terrible for Daquan,” Rice said. “He is an important part of our program and will have our full support as he goes through this challenge.”
