Ex-Rebel Woods provides highlight on NFL Draft’s second day
May 1, 2015 - 8:23 pm
Former UNLV star running back Ickey Woods announced the Cincinnati Bengals’ second-round pick at Friday’s NFL Draft.
Woods also was a standout for the Bengals, rushing for 1,066 yards and 15 touchdowns in 1988 to lead Cincinnati to the Super Bowl. He also popularized the “Ickey Shuffle,” and broke out the dance at the draft before announcing Oregon offensive tackle Jake Fisher as the Bengals’ selection.
A 10-member panel organized by the Review-Journal chose Woods as the fourth-best draftee to ever come out of UNLV. He was the Bengals’ second-round pick in 1988.
