Wolfe, Wassell spark UNLV women’s soccer team to win

Junior forward Jenn Wolfe posted the first two-goal game of her career to give the UNLV women's soccer team a 2-0 victory over Sacramento State in the second game of the Nike Invitational at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

Goalkeeper Kylie Wassell had four saves in recording her third shutout of the season for the Rebels (4-2-1).

Also: The UNLV men's soccer team won its first match of the season, beating Cal State Northridge 3-1 at Johann Field as Salvador Bernal and Nick Marshall posted a goal and an assist apiece.

Robert Garcia also scored for the Rebels (1-3-1), who ended a 10-match home winless streak that dated to 2010.

The UNLV volleyball team made program history with its 3-0 sweep of Prairie View A&M in the UNLV Classic at Cox Pavilion: The Rebels' 25-7, 25-9, 25-6 victory was the first time they had held an opponent to single-digit scores in all three sets of a match since rally scoring debuted at the NCAA Division I level in 2001.

Madeline Westman led the Rebels (4-3) from both sides of the net. She had 10 kills, without making an error in 13 attacks, and nine blocks, to go along with one ace, one assist and one dig.
