Aliante declares ‘Open Season’ on moviegoers within community
June 30, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Hundreds of Aliante residents and visitors turned out for a free, big-screen presentation of the film, "Open Season" June 23, in the master-planned community's 20-acre Nature Discovery Park.
The event kicked off the community's fourth annual Movie Madness series, which provides free family oriented film presentations.
A variety of food items and refreshments were available for sale, and pre-show entertainment was provided by "Zaney Lainie" the clown.
"'Open Season' was our first outdoor movie presentation this summer and as always, the response was fantastic among people of all ages," said Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises LLC, the developer of Aliante.
"We are pleased to once again join the city of North Las Vegas in bringing this worthwhile event to the community and we have several more scheduled through summer and fall."
Movie Madness continues at Aliante on July 14 with a presentation of "Over the Hedge," an animated movie produced by DreamWorks, which also created the popular "Shrek," "Shrek 2," "Shrek the Third" and "Shark Tale" films.
The city of North Las Vegas Special Events and Parks & Recreation Departments co-sponsor outdoor concerts, movies and other programs held at Aliante.
