An evil strategy?

Or so says this blog which, among other things, says: "Linking the health-care bill, which has nothing to do with black and white, to the divisive civil-rights period, while simultaneously accusing its opponents of being racist, is an evil strategy — literally."

We do need to ratchet down the rhetoric in this country, but I don't think our president has the leadership ability to do that. He's more of a confrontation kind of guy, and that attitude filters down the troops. This goes to last week's column in which I said Democrats were "scared spitless" about the Tea Party movement. They don't know what to do with it, other than to race bait, taunt, etc. If Democrats were smart, they'd find a way to tap into the heart of the movement, which is smaller government and greater fiscal responsibility. Democrats used to have a conservative wing (which included guys like me), but given the fast shrinking tent over the Democratic Party, that's a hard direction to now take after the Democrat led health care "reform" law.
