Brazilian teenager breaks record for fastest texter

A Brazilian teenager has become the world’s fastest texter.

According to USA Today, 17-year-old Marcel Fernandes Filho typed a 25-word message in just 18.19 seconds, beating out the previous record holder at 18.44 seconds.

The teenager had to type, “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human,” without any spelling or punctuation errors.

Filho typed the message on a Samsung Galaxy S4 with the Flesky keyboard application installed on the device, according to Guinness World Records.
