Miracles do happen. Just ask Delorean Walls, who witnessed his 8-year-old daughter get plowed into by a speeding car carrying two wanted men.
“I was terrified … I still am terrified,” Wall told erietvnews.com. “As a father, you don’t want that to happen to your children. It’s crazy.”
Wall was outside earlier this month watching his two little girls play when the car, fleeing from Erie, Pa., police, hit a parked car and spun into 8-year-old Cassidy, who was riding her scooter. Cassidy saw the car coming, but couldn’t get out of the way fast enough.
“I fell, and I flew in the air, and I landed on my head,” Cassidy said, but she amazingly suffered only a concussion.
The entire incident was captured by a nearby security camera.
The car narrowly missed Cassidy’s 5-year-old sister, who had just stepped up onto the porch.
The two men in the car were arrested on scene and have since been charged with a wide range of crimes, including fleeing and attempting to elude police, aggravated assault by vehicle, causing an accident involving death or personal injury, carrying a firearm without a license, possessing drugs and reckless driving.
