Car show rolls into Ardiente

Car lovers of all ages are invited to attend the free Centex Classic Cruisin’ Car Show and Car Hop Nov. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m. Members of the Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association will showcase more than 100 vehicles in a six-category competition on the grounds of Centex Homes’ Ardiente, a North Las Vegas age-qualified community.

The show is presented by Centex Homes in conjunction with FOX 5 News and Beasley Broadcast Group.

Attendees will have the opportunity to browse vehicles, watch a classic film on a big screen, enjoy complimentary food by Port of Subs and register for a chance to win an HDTV and HD radio. KKLZ -FM. 96.3 and KCYE-FM, 104.3 will broadcast live from the event.

Other sponsors include Findlay RV, Findlay Chevrolet, Marine Max, The Big BBQ Warehouse, Justice Injury Attorneys, Opportunity Village, Findlay Volkswagen and HyLoft.

“More than 1,000 car enthusiasts attended Ardiente’s Classic Cruisin’ Car Show this past June. People couldn’t wait to get up close to the hot rods, muscle cars, exotic vehicles and classic cars,” said Jillian Lura, operational marketing manager for Centex Homes.

Event goers will also have the chance to tour Ardiente’s eight single-story model homes and the 13,000-square-foot clubhouse. Floor plans range from 1,235 to 2,813 square feet with up to three bedrooms and three baths.

Some home designs include a den, dining room, eating nook, courtyard, studio, gallery, music room and dual master closets. Structural options, based on plan, can accommodate a sunroom, office, guest suite or second floor.

Ardiente’s clubhouse boasts two swimming pools, fitness center, fireside lounge and card and billiards rooms. Other amenities include a putting green, chipping green, tennis courts and six parks, including a dog park and rose park. A 24-hour roving patrol oversees the grounds.

Home prices start in the $250,000s. Centex has incentive programs for educators, health care providers, firefighters and law enforcement personnel as well as active, reserve, retired and veteran military members, Lura said.

While models will be open for extended hours during the show, normal hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
