Centennial Mazda celebrates by giving away Mazda 6

Centennial Mazda, 6525 Centennial Center Blvd., is celebrating a record first year Thursday by giving away a new 2011 Mazda 6 during festivities at the dealership.

"We have had an excellent year," said dealership General Manager Jan Sheinfeld. "We acquired Mazda through a previous owner, and it has exceeded our expectations.

"Mazda has illustrated forward thinking by providing excellent programs, even when other Japanese automobile manufacturers have cut incentives during the recent economic downturn and environmental setbacks in Japan."

Sheinfeld said Mazda still offers 0 percent financing, zero-down payments and zero payments for 90 days.

"There are no inventory problems with the Mazda dealerships because management has held steadfast through some very tough challenges," Sheinfeld said. "We have plenty of every model, even though we have been selling cars at a record pace."

Sheinfeld said their long list of clients includes doctors, entry-level buyers and hospitality workers.

"We have a very good mix of buyers," he said, "because the Mazda is a very multifaceted vehicle. Our top models are the Mazda 3, Mazda 5 and CX 7."

The winner of the 2011 Mazda 6 will be selected in a drawing during the celebration. Entries are currently being accepted.

"There is no purchase necessary for the chance to win the car," Sheinfeld said. "We will have several hundred entries by the time we draw the winner's name."

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with special guests and various VIPs from Southern Nevada.

Also included are prizes, food, music, a live remote-radio broadcast and a bounce house for the kids.

Centennial Mazda is part of the Super Store Auto Group which has five dealerships in Southern Nevada and more than 26 dealerships nationwide.
