— The Hampstead Stage Company plans to put on free stage productions of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic book “The Secret Garden” at 11 a.m. July 23 at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. WORTH A DRIVE

— Rangers from Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area are scheduled to visit the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave., for a free program titled Red Rock Canyon: I Will Survive: Desert Adaptations from 4 to 5 p.m. July 24 and 4 to 5 p.m. July 30 at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive. The program is geared toward children 6 to 11.

PLAN AHEAD

— A free back-to-school fair and movie in the park are planned for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at Centennial Hills Park, 7101 N. Buffalo Drive. Free school supplies, binders, light refreshments and beverages will be given out while supplies last. A balloon artist, face painters and a jump house are planned, and the PG-rated movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” is set to be screened.
