Couple selects Sonata from Planet Hyundai Centennial

Rodger and Judi Maxwell are not your typical car buyers. The couple has owned about 13 vehicles in their 10 years of living in Southern Nevada with their most recent purchase being a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited from Planet Hyundai Centennial.

The couple's testament to the Hyundai model stands out, especially considering that Rodger Maxwell works for Roush Industries test driving cars.

"We have contracts with different manufacturers so I test drive many different models," said Rodger Maxwell. "We test the vehicles on highways, in city driving many streets in Las Vegas and even take them on trips to Mesquite, Shoshone, Mount Charleston and Baker, Calif. At times, we move cars to different locations such as Colorado, Minnesota and Florida."
The Maxwells have now owned eight Hyundais in 13 years.

"The Hyundai is virtually trouble-free and it gets great mileage," said Rodger Maxwell. "The advances in technology have been absolutely unbelievable. This particular vehicle, the 2012 Sonata Limited, is smarter than I am.

"We could have bought another car, but there is no comparison when you talk about the interior and the appointments of the Sonata. It has leather seats and it just pops out at you."

The Maxwells say many people think the Sonata is actually a Mercedes.

"I had a guy come up in the parking lot at the Suncoast saying that he thought the car was a Mercedes," laughed Judi Maxwell.
Rodger Maxwell also praised the safety ratings of the Hyundai.

"The Hyundai Sonata is tied for the top safety rating in the country," he said.

"I feel safe driving the car," said Judi Maxwell. "It's a comfortable car and it's also very nice looking."

Rodger Maxwell also praised the warranty.
''It has the finest warranty (10-year, 100,000-mile power train and five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper) in the business," he said.

The Maxwells also had good things to say about their sales consultant, Chris Rooney.
"Every once in a while you run into a sales consultant whose customer service skills are superior," said Rodger Maxwell. "Chris was on our side right from the beginning. He is so thorough, too. He goes through every conceivable part of the car for you and he stays in touch with you long after the sale has been completed. And besides that, he's just a really nice guy."
